Hi,
I could not find this searching.
Somebody here knows the duplicolor code for the best match to resurface
the original Si phonedials.

please let me know the number.

I'm assuming just to get whatever in the primer and clear.

THANK YOU

Hey Condor,
Not sure if you know this, but most folks just hit them with some Aircraft stripper, and this reveals a beautiful polished surface which is much more aesthetically pleasing than the original USDM finish. Overseas, they kept them polished. Over here in the states, Honda painted OVER the polished surface to achieve a more dull, silver matte finish. Why, I don't know.

Anyway, just ht them with some aircraft stripper, brush off the paint carefully, and then some metal polish, and they will look great.

Hope this helps! - Dan

I did not know this at all.

I saw the other person's here with the polished.
I don't know how I feel about it because I've been looking at
mine painted over for 25 years.

I'll tell you what I'll do.

BTW, I could not get the perfect result that I wanted by the aircraft stripper.
I have been planning to get an ebay sand blaster and get the amount off that
I could not get off.

For a back up plan I still would like to get the paint numbers. I know somebody has them
they just don't want to walk out to their shed and find the cans.

I kinda want to move on this I have to get a set of tires very soon.
I don't want to put them on my cruddy wheels.

Don't bother with the paint
just strip them and then polish with some mothers mag polish.
use a tooth bush to get the hard to remove paint off.
mothers makes all the diffrence!!!!!!

Is it the same as that eagle one?

I have eagle one. Also, all kinds of good stuff I forget the company.
Mail order. I'll remember it in a minute.

I'll tell you what I shall do. I will do the polished first.

I had to go on a long trip today with my flintstones tires and I can tell you
I did not like it at all.

they should end up like this

or this.

I think the reason Honda painted them for North America was due to our climate.

I just painted a set of wheels for my 91. I used Dupli-color wheel paint on them and they look very similar to stock. I'll have to do a direct comparison tomorrow.

While I didn't do a side by side, they are pretty close to the phone dials I have. The new ones have a little more letal flake in them.

That polished look is nice now that I see it a couple of times.

I'm going to go for it.

I can always change my mind I have a couple sets, just all in various states
of disrepair.

I need new tires in the next month or so.

I just refinished my phonedails using Wurth "German Wheel restoration kit".
Used 2 kits for 4 wheels (inside and out). Pricier than others but decided to splurge. Very happy with the results.
