ok so Sawchuk thought of the great idea to have a bay area meet. i love this idea, the only thing is needing a place to meet. so now is the time to brainstorm!

lets get ideas, suggestion of places to meet, stuff to do etc. lets get this thing going!

Any good stuff to do along the Pacific Coast Highway? Nothing beats a drive along the water.

ok well this is the start of a bay meet. i put this post out here to see how many are interested. a drive along the cost sounds nice. how about stopping for lunch or dinner somewhere? some place we can all park together. anyone know any costal highways in the bay that are fun to drive on? i think this could be a start to something. perhaps an annual drive along a "fun" bay area road. just ideas

Ok we have 5 people so far thats a good start. For me Sunday is the best day because I work on Saterday. Would it be better to take hwy 1 north of SF or go south toward San jose. We would need to know where everyone is comming is from to find a central meeting spot.

When I was in San Jose this spring I drove to the cost via La Honda. That was an amazing road to drive.

Agreed. The roads around La Honda are fun. More fun when you have a car with some power. Wish my Rex had some. rolleyes.gif No complaints though. Trying to keep the car mostly original because of its early VIN and likely early Straman Co. conversion.

There is a diner along Hwy 1 near there. I'll try to stop there and look at the menu this weekend to see if it might qualify as a possible lunch stop if we head that direction. If I find anything out, I'll send it Kevin's direction.

FYI: The only other cool stuff I know of along the coast is a killer Fish and Chips place in Pacifica and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. If we want to wait until October, there is a Hot Rod Car show on Sat/Sun October 10&11 at the Boardwalk or Jimmy's Old Car Picnic in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on October 11. I am not saying that we should wait that long though. Just throwing known car events to visit out there even though they do not cater to our Hondas.
