Hey everybody! New guy here who picked up his 1st gen while the site was down. Kind of reminds me of when I graduated from tech school right in the middle of the 08 recession. Clearly I have great timing. Anyway I'm happy to see the site is back up in some capacity. Will all of the old posts get uploaded at some point as well?

All of the old posts are there. The only thing that will not work are certain image links that are not available anymore. All of the actual posts are still there.

Good to be back!!! Was losing interest in my Rex without this site. Was almost ready to give up hope on bringing my car back to life (again). Some of us don't do FB. Glad I accidentally hit RPR Forum on my phone and found out "It is alive"!

Thank you so much for getting this up and running Tom. I thought this day would never come. This site is a priceless asset to the community.

Thank you Tom, good to get back to be able to search for astute advice.
What has happened in the last 12months? a lazy thermostat, it was opening a 185, which led me to find out that I had the wrong one, a 180 instead of a 170... the 170 tested fine but after a few weeks it turned out to be too speedy an opening too soon, which led to an annoying cold engine, especially on those long sierras downhills where the temp would drop below cold and activate the choke... same on these bay area roads, it was impossible to get heat after 15mins during the few cold snaps we had... yes Cal cold snap when the temp drops to 50F.
Repainted the fading hood ... next will be the roof... and probably a rear wheel bearing giving me an echo at freeway speed

Currently don't have space for image hosting. There are lots of alternatives, but bug Chris Dorman on Facebook if you really want it here.
As for the non-forum based gallery, it may be a lost cause as even before the shut down it wasn't working, and I couldn't figure out why. I still have all of the images, I might be able to jury-rig something to at least be able to view them. The service manuals I should be able to resurrect, with time.
How much space are we talking? I have about 17GB free on my server in New York with 4.1TB of monthly bandwidth allowed and I'm only normally using about 10GB monthly of that. If needed I could look into making a virtual site with Apache (I may need guidance on that as I've never had need to do that, I just know it can be done). Then maybe gallery record can be added to the redpepperracing DNS manager that points to my server's IP with Apache handling that address to the v-site.
