Im going to be repainting my project CRX this winter and I cant decide what color to use for it. Its a red car so I'd like to stick with a redish type color but i am willing to change over (preferably to a darker color) as the inners and engine bay are going to get painted as well. Any ideas???? I want something that would go well with gunmetal coloured wheels.

If you had to stick with redish, go Ferrari Red (as you said earlier) or one of the honda factory reds, don't know the names, pick a colour that comes from an Integra or NSX..

If not, go ultra dark blue, so dark that it looks black unless you are about 15 feet away....

Or, go nuts and go with a gloss black / candy blue flake combination, though its a little too tacky...

Cheers,
Mark

thats milano red usualy.
(it usualy fades badly)

uhmm if you want red, i suggest getting the factory nissan RED that went on the 1989 nissan sentra SE sport hatch.
these pics are sorta blurred. but the paint is ALL ORIGINAL AND THE CAR HAS 280K ON IT! its RED! and was NVR garaged. stood up to hot cali sun forever.
lol....im just a little proud of it.

yea the car is DESPERATLY dirty filthy..i assure you the paint IS the best part of the car tho.(til the new motor gets here)

anyways, im painting my CRX championship white. some day

I can kinda picture that orange copper color on a CRX, and it might not look too bad for someone who had to guts to try it. smile.gif

As for me, I like the stock two tone blue and silver that comes on alot of CRX's. If I were to repaint mine I'd have it done the same but with a little metallic mixed in each color.

That's what I am thinking of doing. I am liking the new accord metallic blue and the ford mustang charcoal silver metallic for the bottom.

There is a crx in town here with the orange metallic similar to the caddy. It looks really good too.

ahem i recall "Si blue" looking really good on just about anything, its the metalic Si blue off the newer model civics, look into it i think it looks damn good but i still prefer black/gunmetal.

Will it look good on a 1G? who knows.

Does it look good on the CTS? Hells no...we had this exact car on our lot and nobody bought it for like 2 months!! It was the 6 speed too! People around here
don't like the orange I guess.

PS. The orange and dark beige on the new Xterras is pretty sweet.

if you want orange go foe something classic like the original 240z car orange.

.....i thought of the cts orange cause it looks good under the florida sun.....when you say the word "classy"......what comes in to mind is some sort of luxury car, not a civic/crx.....but everyones taste is obvously different......
