Doesn't that bend the shit out of the strut tower when it folds the wheel back so far?

Had the same thing happen 3 years ago to me in my 85. Make sure the CV axle is not damaged. When my tire folded back it snatched the cv axle out and screw up the threads. It also destroyed my tie rod end. I would also get it aligned when you put the new LCA on it. I was going 40 when my folded up and it completely fooked everything up front as far as adjustments.
Glad nobody got hurt!
Thanks,
Joseph

Ouch. I had one break on me before, only it was while turning slowly in a parking lot...... no other damage besides the LCA (the ball joint stud had sheared). Glad no one was hurt!

Oem lca or an aftermarket replacement. Was it the balljoint that failed or the arm?
i believe it was oem. it might have been changed by the previous owner. but i never messed with it.
i havnt had a chance to look at it closer yet i was in vegas this weekend

Scary to think of really... I've wanted to change mine to have new ball joints, are they still available from Honda?
