That's pedel to the metal driving all right .... AWESOME !

I used to auto cross with Brett back in 92-94 at the Fresno fair grounds, Fasion Fair Mall and the NAS navy base. He started out in a 89 integra. Brett and I were hit head on by a drunk driver in his Integra back in 93. It was a very bad wreck and his Integra was toast. The CRX in the vids was a six year project. I remember going to his house and he showed me the shell with fresh powder coat on it. The motor is a EW4 that was built by King Motorsports. Brett works for Bilstien in Poway Ca and does R&D for them. Brett is the guy to talk to about the 1st gen CRX's, that's for sure!

that was me!!

CR-Z is a neat vehicle ... but have to agree about FIT Sport ... more pratical car room-wise and mileage but CR-Z still looks cooler

something to take into consideration is that Honda currently has reduced availability of Japan-built vehicles (CR-Z, Fit, Insight), so the dealers may be less likely to "deal" down the price. However, the slower sales pace of the CR-Z may have the opposite effect. Good luck

I drive a 08 Fit sport, auto with the padle shifters. I make around 25 - 27mpg while on the hwy and in town. The best I got was on a road trip and this was 33mpg. In town you have to scream this thing to pass someone and to get on the hwy. The fit has no bottom end power at all. I have to run 89 octane or higher, or it will ping at around 4k-5k rpm's. The paint on the Fit's is a single stage with the clear mixed in to the paint. The paint chips so easy, it really sucks. I guess Honda did this to save money. The upside is that these cars handle very good with a few mods. I have a front strut tower brace and a rear sway bar made by Progress. These 2 mods made a huge difference and the Fit is a blast to drive in the foothill/mountans. I am looking at getting a WRX, Civic Si or a Mazda Speed 3 within the next 6 months or so. So, just take your time and test drive lots of cars to see whats out there. Good luck!

Bump, pics comming soon!

I have decided to keep my CRX. I got it off the jack stands and fired it up. After sitting for 3 months it did not smoke at all. The engine still has that funny noise, but I am going to run it the way it is. The noise did not seem as bad as it once was. Some day I will get some pics up of the car. It looks great!

You have a good point. I just need to get it outside and wipe the dust off it so I can take some nice pics of the car.
