A buddy of mine on a local regional tuner site posted this today:

QUOTE (Backwoodz Tuner;12570)
I had to make this cars own thread, but i went to a car show this last saturday and there was one Honda ride there. I first saw it and thought it was a mid 80's Mustang , but no CRX draggster. I really wished the owner popped the hood cause i would of liked to see how they fit that bitch in. Anyways here's my evidence of the vehicle.Kinda odd lookin 2 me u think???

Under steer is when you hit the wall with your front end.
Over steer is when you hit the wall with your rear end.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you move the wall.

it looks to me like they tubed the whole chassis and extended the front end by like a foot or so....

the front end is definitely elongated.
Id like to see what it actually runs. Looks more like a trailer queen than a drag car.

I WANT ONE FOR THE Road... That would be sweet to pull up next to say a Ford or Chevy and smoke the doors off the thing..

I always wanted to do the same to my 87 with maybe a 350 small block.. blown of course.. rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

UGH!! That thing is gross.
I'll bet some dude just had a 350 sitting in his garage and found a cheap crx shell and listened to his 3 year old's suggestion to make it look like "Lightning McQueen."

All that, a lot of beers, and a crappy sticker kit later you have this monstrosity.

That being said, it doesn't mean I don't want to take it down the track just as fast as it'll go. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Whoever built this thing didn't plan at all.

Look at the wing. As ugly as it is it's not even on all the way. The bolts are sticking out. At least cut the extra crap off.

The graphics are even peeling.

The last picture almost got it right. Bumper ornament. The car being the ornament.

HAHA I play but I'd still pimp it out... laugh.gif

The Rule of Money. Any Money spent on a car project will require a Square Root amount more Money spent to make the original Money's investment worthwhile.

Yeah. Tube-chassis, tubbed, RWD, Blown V8 CRX with a gazillion of hours of decent looking fab. work, that probably runs an 8 or 9 second 1/4. There's certainly nothing cool about that. SERIOUSLY!? You guys have lost your f*&king minds. Oooh noez! There's a STICKER peeling! It's a f*&king race car ferchrissake.

This is almost as bad as the 2nd gen with the V8 sticking out of the hood. Aweful... Although it kind of reminds me of an old school funny car.

It would be amusing to say to the local street racers.... "You wanna race? I have a carbureted 1985 crx with an automatic I'll race anyone for $2500." I bet you will have a lot of takers .. UNTIL YOU PULL UP..
