My Crx Is Looking For A New Home !

03 October 2009 - 04:17 PM

I have my wide body 87 si in the FS secton.
http://www.redpepper...showtopic=44966
The car is so modified from a stock CRX that i'm have trouble finding it a new home.
Its running the blacktop d16 turbo'd with with an IHI turbo and front mount innercooler.
for fuel management I built a Mega Squirt computer to tune and run the fuel handling. the suspention is tokico 5-ways all the way around and eibach springs in the rear. it where 17" shoes on aluminium 5 spoke rims.

The point of this General post is to find it a home. money is not the question or the issue. I spent 3 years building this car and spent so much on the body and turbo stuff alone that to crush it is a shame. I don't want to sell it to someone that doesn't care about CRX's or has no mechanical knowlage of these type of mods. If the car needs work a regular mechanic shop would not touch it and would not understand how to tune and maintain it.

If i don't find it a home my tentative plan is to put on my dirtbike helmet and rally car the s++t out of it at the farm till it blows up!
If anyone feels they could give this car a future forget the asking price, just PM me... we can try work something out.

Wessiders Widebody Crx For Sale

19 August 2009 - 10:26 PM

Well guys its been a long time since i was last on the forum and i'm sorry!
But i have kinda out grown the CRX. Some of you may have seen it in Strudels posts from the Calgary crx meet a few years back.
Its an 87 si with the teg conversion turbo'd with an RBH5 and running Mega Squirt for fuel management and Autometer gauges. I had also built the custom widebody kit for it. Its a more of a street look than the housemans kit and styled similar to a BMW M5 wide body kit i saw. The suspention is all upgraded using Eibach lowing springs and Tokico ajustables shocks. It still need more tuning, and if you want more boost than the 10 psi its running i'd suggest a engine overhaul and a stage 3 centerforce clutch (currently has a stage 2) thats what i planned to do to it. I just finished building my 1928 ford tudor rat rod and can't wait to build another...hence the reason i'm selling the CRX. Looking at 3000.00 but open to offers.
