hmmm, someone elses project car, a very poor choice with the transmission, and that engine is shit and will weight the front end down like a hog....

wouldn't dare touch it

curious to see how they got the J series to mount to a C series transmission

I don't see that swap ever getting finished and man will that thing handle like a total PIG with all that weight up front- the EG's with v6's are wacky but in a much lighter car? wacko.gif

take my spare civic and make it rwd instead!

As to size of the engine bay it's a piece of cake. In my other world, Austin Minis, they have had virtually every possible engine combo in them at one time or another. The engine bay is a lot smaller in that shoebox. Location in front, mid and rear and all sorts of combinations thereof. Driveshafts must usually be custom made so on here with our cars it will be a lot easier. if there is a will there is a way. JS

I think this is very cool!I dont care how the car will handle it will burn out for ever and its different thats the best part.and that trany is the only 5speed that will work with that engine alot lot of people use that in the accords since they only come auto with a v6 i think for $1k before haggling is a deal aslong as things are done rite or fixable.I like it.I have an extra hatchback that needs a weird swap tho i was thinkin 4g63 this v6 thing is a mayb

I was thinking about this the other day..................fits in there pretty snug.

We have a car in Austr called the EUNOS 30X. It's a Mazda 3 door hatch with a cool little 1.8 litre V6 in it FWD. Those pics remind me of that a little under the hood.

J series engine mated to a C series trans too........never knew you could do that either. I had a a Honda Legend AKA Acura RL 3.5 and thought that the way they are setup north south in the engine bay that it could make an easy midmount conversion for a CRX too but this is pretty nice too. Just not sure if you could get it to handle with the extra weight in the front?

James.

Finally found the link I was looking for. The pictures aren't real big but shows what can be done in a small box. Don't think this is transverse but that has been done as well. JS
