Arnie,
You may not remember me, but I am the guy with the red '87 CRX Si that you checked (and passed!) about a week or so ago at your shop on Sepulveda Blvd. in West LA.
I was nervous that day but I knew I was in good hands when the very first question you asked me was if I ever visited Red Pepper Racing's web site. You took the time and care to make sure my catalytic converter was as hot as possible when you ran your tests and that made the difference in allowing my car to pass the sniffer test.
I just wanted to say thank you again and that I hope to run into you again at one of our next events.

It is $65 here in California plus $51 to register the car for a total of $116.

Wow, that's out of control. Here in AZ, I spent $27 for an every-other-year emissions inspection (dyno/sniffer, and a fairly weak visual) plus $15/year to register my '87 DX.

Yet ANOTHER reason not to live in California
In my county (Randolph) we don't have ANY emissions testing for cars pre-OBD2 (pre- '96)
We DO have an absolutely worthless "safety inspection" that's a whopping $9.10 and takes any moron w/ a pad and pen 45 seconds to write up and approve....
