I have seen them stuck on so well that you have to use a prybar to get it off. The only one I saw that on was an engine that had never had the head off before. I want to say they pried on the water neck to get it to pop loose. Don't pry on the mating surfaces and it's probably not a good idea to pry on the exhaust ports.

Yes, no spark on the plugs and it won't light a timing light.

I just bought an ignitor for an '85 Si new from AutoZone. You might give them a shot.

I know Ron and the wheels well. They are 4x100 and they are the old 5-spoke design. Here's a link to a picture of a similar wheel.
