84 Crx And Lots Of Parts In Vancouver Bc

28 May 2016 - 06:21 PM

Hey guys, I'm looking to sell my CRX. I haven't touched it in months and need garage space, wanting to get into tig welding and custom motorcycles. I've got other cars as well and will be offloading those too, but this is the one you'll be most interested in.

This is a package deal, not looking to part it out. You'll need to bring a friend with a truck. Looking to get 2000 for everything. Will consider offers.

You guys get first viewing, eventually I'll make a post on craigslist when I have time to tidy it up for some pictures.

This post may get long :) I'll start with some pics and then some details.

Ok, so what I have is a 1984 CRX DX Canadian (no CVCC). It was my daily and my project car for near 10 years now. I love it, but it is time to move on.

It runs and drives well. Installed is a rebuilt engine with Integra pistons, and aluminum SI valve cover. The car has a Centerforce "stage 2" clutch, lightened flywheel, EG front calipers and rotors, new shoes and cylinders in rear drums, 21mm torsion bars, and the rear springs are chopped. Don't fear the chop the car rides well.

The car has a black SI interior in it. Has an AC evaporator and button but no AC parts in the engine bay. The seats have seen better days, particularly the driver's side.

I repaired a bunch of rust and repainted it in 2009. It was my first jab at it, not perfect but pretty decent none the less. It has held up reasonably well but does show some age. Biggest problem is a scrape on the right rear wheel arch. About 4 inches long, right on the edge. You can see the work done at www.astralknot.com/crx/index.html Here is what it looked like fresh off the blocks, and you can see the stance. It is lowered about 1.5 inches.

PS, those rims are gone. It currently rides on alloy 13s from American Racing and has snow tires. Have a set of ratty integra 14" wheels as well and some all seasons if you want them.

The chin spoiler isn't on the car but I might still have it.

The DX taigate on the car has broken glass, I have a spare, black, SI tailgate with glass. (The breakage of the glass made me realize it is time to move on before the car degrades from sitting)

Other parts:

Spare body pannels. Header panel, fenders, outer door trim, corner lights, possibly side skirts... Oh, and a fiberglass 1 piece hood ;) (chaching!)  (unpainted jell coat)

The DX spoiler is not mounted on the car, but I believe I have it. Spare SI tailgate has the SI spoiler on it.

Spare engine, pulled out due to oil leaks. It ran very well. Has a stock clutch and flywheel bolted to it. Just needs some new gaskets. The head was rebuilt when I got the car in 2007, so the head gasket is fine. The head won't have more than 30,000km on it since the rebuild.

Turbo project parts (in the bin pictured above) Has a good turbo and intercooler off a VW diesel. A top hat for a blow-thru carburetor setup, and a spare manifold.

FI manifold and fuel rail, have the pump somewhere too. No injectors, ecu or wiring though. Was contemplating going standalone for turbo.

Have multiple cams: Installed is the stock DX cam, laying on the spare engine is some lopy cam (DC?), somewhere is a tryflow grind from Colt Cams (I liked this one more top end flow without a stupid idle, pulled out some years back for an emissions problem which turned out to be in the carb never got around to putting it back in)

I believe I also have an SI cam and head.

Bunch of other random parts, a couple Canadian carbs. (No CVCC) Spare instrument clusters, an SI and possibly HF (DX if not HF)

That's all I can think of for now. PM me if you are interested I'll check in every now and then.

Wtb 1G Hatch (Glass) In Sw Bc/nw Washington.

17 January 2016 - 04:36 PM

Anyone within 4 hours drive of Vancouver BC got a 1G CRX hatch for sale? My glass is shattered because the hinge broke.

I've repaired the hinge, but still need the glass. So I don't care about the condition of the metal. Would be great if I could just bolt on the replacement but not mandatory, I can transfer the glass.

Need it pretty quick. If you have one please text me at 604-616-zero nine zero nine. (anti spam bot XD)

Thanks, Aleks.
