count me in. i've been waiting to get to a dallas meet for years.

are we thinking mid-afternoon, or what time?

btw, my grandparents just bought us a deep freeze full of 400lbs of beef/chicken/pork, so i have a couple briskets and several racks of ribs i need to cook up at some point. i'm at beltline/jupiter, and my neighbors are pretty relaxed, if anyone wants to do a nighttime cookout...

well, i got it up and running, after several days of trying things and scratching my head.

the iacv is not/has never been running since i got the car. it idles high, i understand that is a symptom of a clogged iacv, but i'm not gonna mess with it. i can live with a code 14.

i was getting an intermittent ground at the thermostat housing. i burnt up a main relay figuring that out. had a ground at home, but down the street, it fried the relay. i ended up just running a 10ga wire from the thermostat housing to the chassis, just to be sure. i wicked up a little brake fluid from the reservoir, so it doesn't idle high when i press the brake pedal. i think i might have to completely go through the vacuum system pretty soon.

i still have no idea why it was running sooooo rough, though, but it is back to normal.

i love the accord 5th gear, it feels much, much better on the highway. i'm in love with hawk pads, now, too.

i'm gonna do a write-up on how to install 92-00 civic radiators, the way i did it.

thank you all for your help, i really appreciate it. it was pretty frustrating for me, but i think i'm okay, now.

looking forward to the texas meet.

QUOTE (DEIVIONCRX @ Jun 24 2009, 01:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Ive seen air pockets in the coolant, cause a idle surge, but never running bad.

Id suspect you knocked a wire loose, unhooked a ground, or pulled a vacuum line off by accident.

thanks for the input, devion. i've triple checked everything, traced all wires/vacuum lines, even cleaned up the ground attachment points, for good grounds.

i felt a little jitter in the brake pedal a minute ago, coinciding with the tach needle's bouncing motion. don't know what that means.

i am continuing to open the bleed screw after running the motor, every time, and i'm about 99% sure it is bled, unless there is an air pocket near the tps, or somewhere that just won't evacuate...

one of the mechanics at the gas station a minute ago saw it and said the last time they did a radiator on an integra they had the same problem i have.

it was running like an old model t that had been sitting in a field for a decade, left it in the shop overnight, and it was running fine the next morning...go figure.

this has never been plugged in, since i got the car a couple years ago. what is this? when i plug it in, it still idles rough, but at about 3k rpm... it is in the same wire loom as the tps, but the car has been running great with it unplugged for years.

it's not running bad, now, just surging idle, so i'm gonna troubleshoot it from that angle. my tps looks riveted on the tb, though. i don't see any way to get it off.

the light on the ecu is solid red. doesn't look like it's throwing a code.

i've been researching a little, and the only thing that makes sense to me, so far, is something wrong with the tps.

somebody i talked to had the same problem and a new thermostat solved it.

somebody else said they fixed theirs by cleaning the iacv.

the way it was running last night, though, it's hard for me to blame that on a tps/iacv/thermostat.

man, i don't get it...

i started it up this morning and it is still idling a little bit rough, but it is running pretty smooth, what is going on?

last night when i started it up it was running HORRIBLY.

where do i begin? what do i look for first?

my fuel pump IS working, i've got spark on ALL cylinders. everything seems fine, except i always had a pgmfi light come on in the dash, and now it doesn't come on...

any ideas?

edit:

started it up again, warm, and now my pgmfi light comes on and then it goes haywire. running rough, but not like last night. i really don't know what is going on.
