Long story short.

This was my 86 CRX SI

Thats me back in like 06.

Car was fun, and had a few mods.

1.8 Inejectors
Larger toyota Throttle body
Chikara Header
MSD
AEM Intake
Custom Magnaflow exhaust, 2.5 piping

Then I got into an accident leaving work one night. The car was parked, and me and my dad found a 86 CRX HF, carbed... Engine was seized so we swaped almost everything from the SI to the HF. Took a long time... Fuel lines, ecu, harness, whole exhaust, shocks, brakes, windsheild, full interior.

Cut the front end off... to make things easy.

New shell.

Out with the carb..

Fuel injected in.

Old interior.

Car is running, far from safe or perfect to DD. Distrubutor is leaking oil a little, idle is high, and sometimes cant stay still jumps up and down from 500 to 1500, it did these things when it was in the red crx. Im guessing the injectors, and a few other things. But not the problem.

But I decided I want to get her where she deserves to be, so this is where you guys come in.

I want to swap this engine. I've been reading all over this thread, and decided, the ZC is the way I want to go.

Can you guys give me some proper details on what I need? I would like to use Hmotorsonline as my vendor for the motor, I've delt with them before.

So from my understanding I need the trans, engine, and a few other things from a 88 integra.

Can someone help me on the details? Thx guys!

your idle is an easy fix. adjust your IAC on the back of the intake manifold. the sensor with two small phillips head screws. remove the plate, and then take a chisel or flate head and tighten that down all the way.

you'll need the knuckels and front brakes from an integra also.
1986 Civic Si; b16a is in.. just gotta get it running..
longest swap ever..... :(

Yes, pretty much. Plus look at the kakabox build threads. Read the instructions and tutorial on the above link, and it will tell you pretty much, everything needed and how to accomplish it.

Kaymo, if you really want one, pull one off an 85 si. Its 2 mm larger.

toyota TB? please explain
85 si's had a larger tb?
never knew this.
is this true?
Below is a Brown top ZC TB despite it having a smaller total area the addition of a velocity stack on the primary may make the Tb more efficient.
then a D16A TB
I've also measured. The ZC TB is the same size as the 87 Si in every way. They are the same TB.

Well, the velocity stack opening (where the airbox attaches) its inside diameter is 1 mm larger than the 86-87 model. Now if you want, I can go and get the dial calipers out and measure the butterfly valves if you would like.

Sorry I'm never on guys, the car is done, other then needed tires and a typical brake job, the car is great, we do have a small leak coming from the distrubutor.. Hmm..

As for the TB, I'll try and take pics, cause it may look alike, but Im not sure what toyota its off, its hard to explain, but if you look in person, you can see where the TB is adapted to fit, and the wires were adapted to connect. I dont think its much larger, but again, I didnt do it, so I cant say for sure. Sorry I dont have any solid evidence or details guys.

I will have some nice photos ASAP. It will be for sale soon, but if I can, I might keep the crx for myself, and pay my dad what he invested, cause its technically both our cars. The only way I will keep it, is if I can swap the motor, and get some AC in the car.... I have everything for the ac, but for the carbed motor, and not sure if it bolts up to the fuel injected or another motor. We'll see what happens
