what are hood pins for? ive seen them before.

To hold the hood closed, they funtion beter than the stock latch.

You would want to use them if you have a fiberglass or carbon fiber hood to make sure it doesn't fly up goin down the road.

or is for some reason the latch doenst work... hood pins are alot easier

And they are required by some race sanctioning bodies. Using 4 (or 6) can make it easy to remove the entire hood.
