why does it say granny under my avatar, and if i can how do i change it?

Granny is the default setting.

Goto "My Controls" then "Edit Profile info" then the first text box is for changing your Custom member title. There you go biggrin.gif

i went into edit profile and all it had was my url and abunch of idenities for other websites but nothing that would change my custom name. whats the deal? i've only been a me huh.gif mber for a week. could this be the problem. l know there is certain things you have to wait 2 weeks for, like posting in the classifieds. do you think this is it?

The very FIRST item in that list is 'Custom member title'....

i went from granny to slowpoke. and i looked on my controls and i don't see how to change it. when do i get to do that. how many posts. thanks and sorry if i sound like a dumb ass but how will i know the answer if i never ask the question.

Correct. You can change the member title after you have 50 posts. These are the default levels:

CODE
Title           Posts   Peppers
Granny            1     *
Slowpoke          15    **
In the left lane  500   ***
