Once warmed up, it idles just fine, but it might be kinda fast.
But they are very cold blooded when cold!
Keep in mind, on the racecar, I removed everything since the car was never driven on the street so I didn't have to worry about emissions (or loud exhaust).
Everything has been removed/plugged/gutted, etc. This includes the fuel cut-off valve (hole plugged with a screw and JB weld) and float bowl evaporative control (my catch tank sits where my charcol canister used to go), no choke plates/linkages.
Down side? Fussy to start, rough until it warms up, and if the car has been sitting for a few days, I have to crank for about 30 seconds to pump fuel back into the float bowl that evaporated.

Wow, thats looks much better. Get some superclean on the engine bay, quick!
The only problem with the removal of all the lines is that you probably won't pass emissions tests, so be aware of that.
