iv  researched many website , and iv still haven't come to end . i still don't where to start on my ecu , i want   to get the ZDYNE but i need help on what wiring harness need , the hasport site said “Installations are much easier using this ECU, designed to run VTEC motors in the pre-OBD Civics and Integras. Installations are greatly simplified by the use of only one wire to activate VTEC. VTEC switchover and some other functions can be custom configured. Acceptable ECU cores for modification include: 88-91 CRX Si and HF, 89-91 Civic Si, 90-91 Civic EX, and 88-91 Integra. Prices start: $350 + core” what core do they mean the stock crxsi or the b16a . and about the wiring harness it also said “
Conversion harness for use with B-Series engine and 88-91 electronics, with ZDYNE ecu. (Note: Customer cores required to build this harness.) “ once again what harness(which one)
sorry for my stupidness but im trying to buy all my wiring and ecu for my swap

is there anything else i should know or but for my conversion (any good site or resource on how to do the swap or get a idea on what i should start buying (i already have my complete b16a engine, tranny, ecu and my mounts
well thanks for your  time on reading this and hopefully helping me out

once again sorry for my stupidness

thanxs

I think the ecu core is the ecu you want them to work with.   That means it's which ever you send.  Most people that do b series conversion have 88-91 cars, so they already have that ecu to send.   But you already have the B series ecu, so I  think that means you can send them that one.

To make sure, it's probably best to ask them directly before you actually send something out there.

Hey b20vtecSI or whom may answer my question ,
So is it possible to use the stock pr3 or pwo ecu from the b16a and my stock  86si harreness , without buying the hasport ecu and harness  , and if so how difficult is it .
And  has anyone that has a b16a in their 1gencrx uesd the hasport ecu and harness , how easier is it and any pics

thats what you need to convert your harness to Electric advance(88-up) distrib... that will work with ZC, b18 and a few others... rewiring for vtec might be a little different.... you might have to get the Zdyne one wire converion(ment to work with 88-up harnesess) and that might work after doing this rewiring... looks like a damn bitch... but if you got the time to fab or redo your harness by all means

Wow, that page is about as annoying as I have ever seen. Good info though, I grabbed it, and I'll try and get permission to replicate it here.

Directly from TJ...

"To answer Rosendo’s question, yes, you can use a PR3 or PW0 ECU and the ‘87 Si harness.  I assume he refering to the chassis harness between the engine connectors and the ECU.  Some wires will have to be added to the chassis harness between the engine main connectors and the ECU - VTEC, various distributor wires, etc.

If he’s talking about using the old Si engine harness, I’m sure parts of it are usable, but he’d be miles ahead scrounging up an 88-89 Integra engine harness and adding VTEC wires or a D16A6 engine harness and adding VTEC wires then strapping that onto the B16A.  Many extra wires still need to be added to the chassis harness between the main engine connectors and the ECU as I stated above.

The bottom line advice is, have an ‘85-87 Helms manual AND any 88+ NON-OBD Helms from any Integra or Civic.  Study the PGM-FI wiring diagrams in the back of the manual.  It’s not that hard....
