I know its imbearasing, but I gotta tell it. On the 4th of July i pulled onto the beach at St. Augustine Beach. At this time there was no problems at all. When we were getting ready to leave, thats when I got a sinking feeling. As my Si was backing out it was also going down in the sand. to make a long story short, it took four people and a Ford F250 4x4 to get my baby out of the sand. So all you 3g and 1g's be careful on the beach in Fl.

I wish that i had taken my cam the pics would have been funny

Beach=Sand=SaltWater=Corrosion
Of all the places in the world to drive a car that I like and would want to keep, the last place I would drive it is on the beach. And then to leave it on the beach and let the tide come in.......
Out here in California, no one would dream of driving a car on the sand. Heck, we do not even put salt on our roads (yes, there are places in California where it snows).
If anyone from the corrosion states wants a clean, rust free Honda California is the place to find them.

I'll vouch for that. You can find them all over the place--Mostly in people's back yards, because they won't pass SMOG anymore. There's this gorgeous 3g hatch, think it's an Si even, in this one guy's back yard..Been sitting there for years..When my CRX's done, I'm going to go knock on his door and see if 150 bucks will take it home.

Passing smog in California is not hard.... as long as the valves and rings are still intake. A tune up, an O2 sensor and a new catalytic converter are all a tight engine needs to pass.

Thats my plan, to head down to the golden state and pick up a rust free Civic Si...
And maybe in my travels we can meet up and have a nice debate on rear disk vs. drum brakes, maybe I'll even smuggle some of that good canadian beer across, just for you, Scott.
Cheers,
Mark
