ok, I pulled 4 injectors from an 88 integra d16 - mines an 87 d16 and I noticed that one of them is missing the metal pin looking thing from where it sprays out the bottom. this is the pin directly in the center of the injector on the bottom. Is that bad? Would that affect its running.

Idk how it could be missing, but yes that is the needle that controls the flow of the injector. Its useless without that as it wont meter the fuel it will just spray gobs of fuel the second the pump turns on.

yeah it definately affected the performance. I swapped it back out with one of my old ones and it ran a lot better. I was pretty sure it needed that pin .
