Best Engine For My 1987 Civic Station Wagon?

the factory engine is shot. im thinking either repair it, or bring another engine in, all depends on the $.

it depends on the wagon you have is it 2wd or 4wd.

its all carbs no mater what.

if its a 4wd you could do a d16 swap use the tranny off your 4wd an have a nice car.
the d16 is still the best to go with the 86-87 is the easier one

yeah ... thought about that one, only problem is clearance ... as i said its hard enough to work in that engine bay as it is ... but I'll have a decision to make soon, have to check the prices on engines and find someone competent enough to do the work as I'm no big time mechanic

a b18c5 would be a cool choice ... but again besides the money i'm thinking the space!

B18c5 wont clear in an 87 youd have to cut the firewall or the intake would bump it.

gonna check wether to repair the engine it has or find another, its easy to dream the thing is money.
