Well it was officially unveiled yesterday. There has been alot of uproar that the MPG should be higher. Its EPA rated at 33/38, personally I think its great, there are alot of factors that prevent it from being higher. But anyways, I have been waiting for a couple years for this car to come to this continent. So if you havent seen it yet here it is.

This car really reminds me of the 3rd gen Civic. Its small, made to run about the city, practical yet fun to drive. And look at the HVAC controls, even the Fresh/Recirculate control is similar to ours!!

And check out the specs -

Fit
1987 Civic

Almost everything is identical. And it has the same Weight/HP ratio as the Si.

Anyways, I am sure some of you wont like it but I love it and am planning on getting one when they come out. Anyone else?

Kevin

i had higher hopes, i really dislike the way new cars are going these days. high degree hoods that meet the line of the windshield. they all look like mini vans too me. and because of that styling the cg is soo high.

richard <even thinks nissan wrecked the skyline

There are 3 goals when modding a car.
Cheap, Reliable, and Fast.
Now the down side. You only get to pick 2...

Reminds me a little too much of the Aerio/Vibe/Matrix. What will the MSRP be on those?

I'll only be happy if we get these:

I dont really like this car, its too boxey for my style. i think someone described it as tall, i agree. new cars suck in my mind.

So my verdic is: This car is fit for the pit. laugh.gif

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Anyhooo... back on topic It looks like & is probably very similar to the

Echo hatchback/Yaris from Toyota

Weight is about the same & the engine has about the same power & torque.

That fit engine though, 1500cc's, 109 HP, 105 torque, VTEC, probably built pretty small & light. I wonder how easy it would be to fit one of these motors in a 1/3G? With headers, intake & some tuning it should be good - not too much power, but probably nice & revvy...

Well one very distict similarity I noticed between the Fit and Aerio SX is the little triangular window infront of their mirrors.......go ahead take a look

Sure it has the same body style as an Aerio/Matrix/Vibe but this one surely is the best looking one out of them all. It has the right propotions and some sexy lines. But yeah it is a tall econo box type of car. But thats what the 3rd gen is to. And the Fit certainly looks much more sexy with 16's and lowered a bit.

And the Mugen Fit Dynamite turned out to be a turd. Like putting an H22 in CRX. The engine was way to heavy and hard to fit into the small engine bay.
