So while sitting in my car yesterday i came to a realization, after i swapped dashboards i neglected to switch the vin numbers on them. Seeing as my old dashbaord was in the back of my parts car when it got towed away im pretty screwed.
What are the options for me in this situation?
I was thinking of getting a peice of metal and stamping the cars vin into it and putting that in the original location (wich is most likely illegal.)
help?

not much tracking to do! its on the registration, and on the drivers side door jamb!
just make it look as legit as possible!

Actually, it is also stamped on the firewall in the engine compartment. I know mine is. Mine was ripped from the dash when I got it, but with it on the firewall, I don't worry much.
Above all else, my WIFE I f33r the most!
