A Run Of Front Hubs Again?

As many remember, i did a run of high-strength front hubs a few years ago - something like 18 or 20 pairs, if I remember correctly  (5 or 6 sets were spares for later sale). So far as i know, they cured the breakage issue people were suffering through.

Is there any interest in my doing another run sometime this late fall/early winter?  With the broach being paid off in the first run, I believe that I can get the cost per down to somewhere in the $250-$275 range.

Billit 4340 material heat treated for the necessary strength. I'd like it to be in the 12-14 pairs range again at the minimum. There will be a $150/pair deposit required to cover material costs.

If people are interested, let me know here or at my email address ( [email protected] )

If someone working the forum is willing to do the search and post the link here, there was a long thread on the first batch that would be of interest to everyone.

I think this http://www.redpepper...&hl=hubs&page=1 is the one you speak of.

You really need to teach me how to search the forum. Whenever I try looking for something I can't find it.... yet you always seem to find them no problem.

Richard, just so we're clear on this, the $250-$275 is per HUB or per PAIR? Thanks!

Yes, that is what he meant, so maybe $500-550 a pair. I think the last run might have been closer to $800-900 a pair, so quite a nice price break. They are mainly for Auto-X, because the stress on hub the outer ring breaks off. If your looking for something similar to compare it with google hubs from the driveshaft shop.

Wow, Puddle Skipper...17 times...that has to be a record. Good thing that didn't happen on you're "I'll take a set" post or you could have been down for a chunk of change, huh?  ;)  :)

OK, just to be clear...Puddle Skipper's post above posted here in 17 separate instances in rapid succession...and then 16 of them disappeared...really, it did!

I haven't been on the forums in a number of years so I apologize for the questions but did we figure out an option for those of us running 1G teg hubs? I use complete 87 teg axles and hubs in mine since I did the swap like 15yrs ago...

Also are there any pictures of this new hub setup?

Thanks for keeping these cars alive!!

Hey Skip, i thought my phone wasnt working, but i guess it was, lol. These hubs should work with the 1G teg if your planning on auto-Xing. The bearings are the same for both the integra and the civic/crx. You'll have to swap to these hubs and use the civic outer cv joints on your axles.

If you are running 87 teg axles you can use the outer cv from a 1g crx (as long as it's not an hf or 1.3).

Here are some pics of the previous run for you:

I dont do auto-x and have stayed away from the hybrid axles since I am running around 300whp thru them. Ive only messed up one axle since the LSD install and know that the civic ends will have a little more play in them plus the smaller shaft if I remember correctly....
