I will get it lower when the lowering springs arrive. But I don't know when will that be.
A picture my mom sent me on my birthday. That's me, the photo is from 1994, or even still 1993.
And I got a front lip from a Rover 216 Vitesse,
I prepared the bumper to receive it:
And that's it, for now.
The lip will be painted, as well as some other plastics.

My radiator has a small leak, so:
The alarm, which I had before in the Concerto from which the engine was taken.

Some new shock absorbers.
Among others, like rear lowering springs (PI springs, -35mm), and all round shock mounts.
I sourced the front ones from the USA, in 23rd November, but they didn't arrive yet. I'm getting worried...
Some sound deadening:

The electric mirror adjustment controls were at the right side in the middle of the dash, in the UK version:
And it was ok, but thei have left it that way on the LHD version:
So:
I had rear headrests fitted
Just a small detail, I didn't like these holes on the steering column cover:
This week, someone bumped in my car, and left no note... Bastards.
Still, not so hard to fix.
And I think my dad may have got my 213 an older brother, a mk1. We'll see

Which cubby thing? The one next to the digital clock?
Thank you!Im feeling, great project car for sure!
Oh, I almost forgot, the images with the headrests:
I still didn't go on the back to try them, but everyone who went said they were good!
So, now I really need those seatbelts. They rarely come as standard

Only if you check on ebay.co.uk, but there is not a lot of stock left for this car, even there. That was why I had to buy the front shock struts from there
PS: I have some relatives in Texas!

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

I've been very busy, sorry.
Well, lots of things happened since I updated this project last time.
Someone decided do leave their mark on my car.
*******s. They left no note, as usually people do in Portugal. I just freaked out when I saw it.
So, to make me feel better, I got some presents for the Rover!
Rear lowering springs and front shock absorber mounts.
It wil be fitted soon... Thay are not on their places already because they were used on another car, as I will show you afterwards. So, I ordered another ones, an now I will have to wait one month.
And also, my dad got some company to my car:
It is a mk1, not a mk2 as mine.
The reason why it was so cheap: it broke the timing belt. Fortunately, we still had the previous engine from my 213, so, no problems with it.
Old vs... Less old engine!

And so, it came back to life:

Testing the gearbox:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=AhHp-sr3_Bo
You can hear an exhaust leak. This was already done, in a less expensive way: the rear right silencer was eliminated. It was also a test to decide if I should or not do it in my 213 (but my does have 4 silencers at the moment, not 3 as a "stock" 213... So, I am going forward with it).
After a quick bath:
Interior cleaning:
Before, driver's side:
After, passenger side:
Ther was a problem with the servo, so, I got another one (used). I tried to fit the one from my Concerto, but it wouldn't fit (it is too large).

So, I finally took it to my home.
And my dad then took it to the MoT. Which is where he got this little paper:
This means that, after an year off the road, this 213 took it like a Rover, and had absolutely no faults on the test.

So, once the another 213 has been getting all the attention, I didn't want mine to feel jealous. After all this is not one of my cars, this is MY car.
So, I've got some pictures when coming back home from college.
That day, he made 227 000kms.
