Hi everyone, please bare with me, it's my first post...well the first where I'm contributing something...
I've always liked the look of front end park lights in the bumper. Like many Japanese vehicles the park lights are separate from the signals. So I wanted to add the park functionality to the bumper signals...
To me the cleanest way was to use an 1157 dual filament bulb - allowing me to use both functions. I purchased aftermarket sockets (3 wire: ground/park/signal) from my local Canadian Tire to use with these bulbs. They turned out to be crap, so I ended up using OEM Toyota sockets my dad had laying around from a LandCruiser taillight.
Since the Honda lights don't have removable sockets i used a saw to chop them off; then trimming off enough to allow for the sockets to twist in.
Then I fit in the socket and used a small amount of silicone to seal it up. I didn't use glue since the socket sat in the light nice and tight once it was twisted in place. It will also make it easier to remove if ever I need to.
I tied in to the wiring for the existing park lights and used what was there before for the signal and ground connections. I used good quality connectors which will make it easy to disconnect the lights when I remove the bumper and gives it a nice finished look.
All finished up, still looking like it came from the factory!

I hope this helps anyone who may have been looking to do the same or similar. It wasn't a difficult job, just a little time consuming - like everything else in the life of custom work...
