Jack Point Repair
CSPCRX 07 Mar 2020
So after decades of jacking my CRX up at the track to rotate tires using the front jack points they are are very badly rolled over. This is now causing damage to the rocker panels. Anyone know of a way to fix these and then strengthen them?
I was thinking perhaps the could be bent back straight then material or square tubing welded onto the back side to strengthen them.

Do you have a like to the pictures? If you have them as public it should let me see them that way. Sounds like you did kind of what I am thinking.

Looking through your pictures it looks like you made some upper spring mounts for the rear as well. Did you use the stock rubber spring cups or remove them? I have some that go into the stock cups but want to build some that do not use the rubber cups so I can get more adjustability in the rears springs.

That’s how mine work now. After installing my ITR rear shocks the threaded tube sits up higher on the shock body. So now I have them adjusted all the way down and the car is at the same height it was before. My thinking is making some that work without the isolator will gain my 1/2 in or more. Then I am going to look at having the threaded body machines out a bit more to allow the threaded body to slide down further. Figure between these I can get an inch or more back.
