Since the CRX I have has a new rebuilt enging in it and new pretty much everything else....im sad to say I need to find another CRX to transfer it in. When the vehicle was given to me I took the pink and sat on it for a few months. Well my lame ass re-built the car and went to get the pink slip and the slips gone...car was never tranfered into my name and the guy who owned it(or still does I guess) is no where to be found. So, since its almost impossle to get this done im looking for a Rex....In the So Cal area.
Thanks
Aaron

That sucks, you could always just swap vins. That always works.

i might have that prollum with my 85hatch...u think it'd work?
There are 3 goals when modding a car.
Cheap, Reliable, and Fast.
Now the down side. You only get to pick 2...
Fact: A recent study shows that 92% of all teenagers have turned Emo.
Put this in your sig if you're one of the 8% who stayed gangster as $h!t.

Ya we do it here all the time, you get ahold of a set of vins off a car with a simular year ect, take out the windshield and swap that one. It especially works if you get a set off a person who is going to junk thier car. Then you list the car as recently painted the colour that it is, say that it has had a new gauge cluster if it has less km, and say the car has been reconditioned. You might have to pass inspection if they ask you to.
If you get a little antsie then you can cut out the one from the fire wall with a grinder and swap those ones, then weld in the new one, grind it down, fill any holes in with jb weld and paint it. They usually dont check that one tho.

well you have some more options here than you think. if you find this guy that you purchased from you can request he gets you a new title (pink? as you call it). if he doesnt cooperate then you can go through the court system. to do this you have to pretty much file for an abandoned vehicle title through the court system or department of transportation (afterall, it is still his car and sitting on your property....abandoned ). they will send him paperwork to claim the car. then he has the choice to either turn over ownership on the spot (in courtroom) or take the car back. this is where you have rights. if he wants to take the car back and claim he never sold it he has to pay you for towing, labor, shop time, parts and storage before he can take the car back, chances are he cant come up with the cash (nor is it worth it to him) to give you to get "his" car back. then the courts will give you any paperwork you need right there on the spot.
When I die, i want to go asleep peaceful.......... not screaming and freaking out like everyone else in the car

cxls,
Thanks for your input. I did hear that was a route to go, however I have tried finding this guy for 5 months now. Also have a shop willing to put a mechanical lean on the car and that would take about 45 days to get done. If I can find a local clean body rex...than I will grab it and do the swap. If not, I will do the long process to get it done.
Thanks for your input.
