G'day Mike,
Number 29 has got to be the earliest existing. I am sure that the first dozen or so got crushed after the factory figured the production run was working.

1st gens are a waste of money. they are pieces and will never be worth anything. i'll do you a favor and buy it off you for a grand.. ok? saves you time/headaches later..
welcome!!! we are all envious and will enjoy trying to kill you to get your car just because we know we can't find one like it!! i think the closest thing to that is the guy who has "number 1" for the USA.
btw, i like the "choro Q" inspired 2nd gen. heheheee.

Nope. CRX Number 1 is alive and kicking, and was at the Niagara 11 meet, I saw it with my own eyes. VIN Number 800001. It has an 'interesting' history.
Uh, GENONE, weren't you registered here already, like 3 years ago?

Hey Guys, thanks for the replies
there are pics of my crx on here under GENONE
Rampage: the car is stock - yes... ive only replaced the wheels with lighter alloys also from a CRX, Seats needed to be retrimmed due to wear but I couldn't find the original material anymore, I did install some aftermaket custom extractors - to save weight, but still have the cast iron stock ones stored away. there was a bit of rust near the sunroof, and rear spoiler but thats been repaired. apart from that there isn't any other rust.
Tom: im not sure - I know you setup the gallery for me about 3yrs ago but I don't think i ever came to the forums.
As for the 1st CRX... 800001 would have to be a US 1st one from 1984, cos my Chassis number is: AF1000029 and its a 1983 (1st year of production). It has the 52nd EW5 motor with engine number EW500052.

Interesting. From what I was told, the one here is an 83 as well. Ah well, it's still cool...

Yeah, there were 83 CRXs. It was the first year of production.
Hey, GENONE. Your car has been an inspiration to me for a very log time. Love it.
Have you ever had that EW5 dyno'd? I've got an EW5, and I've wanted to know for a long time what it's stock power output was. I've heard between 100 and 120 horsepower..
