Yeah,  there were 83 CRXs. It was the first year of production.

Hey, GENONE. Your car has been an inspiration to me for a very log time. Love it.

Have you ever had that EW5 dyno'd? I've got an EW5, and I've wanted to know for a long time what it's stock power output was. I've heard between 100 and 120 horsepower..

Thanks mate... smile.gif

Yes - I did have the car on a dyno few years ago, but they ran it in LOW (being an auto its either low or Drive) - which is like running the car in 2nd gear. It only got 45hp @ wheels hahaha!!!

Japan had the Ballades out in 1983, while the US didn't get them till 1984. My crx must have been a personal import for someone straight from Jap land.

Tom - i'd be curious to find out the history of that crx... is there someone I can contact? Its great to know also that there is a car with similar history to mine smile.gif

From what I was told about the other car, it was a Honda test mule, it was originally carbureted, then they converted it to fuel injection and turbocharged it, then changed it back to carbs, it spent some time up north as a Cold Weather test platform, and then ended up in a Honda 'skunkworks' shop in Toronto. Somehow the previous owner managed to get a Honda dealer to snag it from the shop and sell it to him, and the current owner bought it from him. It has a factory front bra, and rear louvers, although the louvers look aftermarket, not factory. It is in very good condition for the most part.
