As I understand it, the height of a K20 makes it difficult to swap into a 3g civic. Does any one know if mixing a K24 block with a K20 head would reduce the overall heigth of the engine?
After doing a search, I did not find anything on this topic and apologize if this has already been covered. My 3g now has 210,000 miles and is starting to smoke when the engine is first started. Otherwise everything runs fine. I would prefer not to remove the head and would like to ask for advice from anyone who may have replaced the valve seals with the engine intact by using compressed air to hold the valve in place while removing the keepers and seals. Your response would be sincerely appreciated.
