Depends how cold it is
The canadian carbed models have a manual choke, so you should be able to track down a choke setup that would look factory

Yup thats right. You may want to also try searching for manual choke cables for the USDM pre 83 civics preludes and accords.

Throttle cable set ups are old hat to me. I used a Stanley brand bracket from the hardware store to make this one.
To make one, you just need to be creative and do some engineering.
BTW, the Canadian choke cable is the limp, pull only type. Some carbs need the rigid push/pull type. Have a look at the way that yours works. If the choke springs back on its own without your putting pressure on it, you can use the Canadian cable.

Find a way to attatch a bracket on the IM or somewhere on the engine to the same length as the stock throttle cable.
If that doesnt work: this is what i did for my hoodlatch same principal would go to making the throttle work:
*Take the stock throttle cable and such, cut the cable (not the insulator material) and toss it.
*Find/make someplace safe to fix the end of the stock insulator with a bracket on the IM or something(not the firewall sicn the engine does move)
*go to the hardware store and buy some new cable and something to put one of those little throttle ball deals that crimp on the end of the cable that will go to the throttle arm.
*shove the SOB down the stock throttle insulator(very easy)
*size up the specific length you need and cut it
*tie(crimp) up the gas pedal end of the cable nice and sturdy
-zak

Go find your self a pre 83 honda. that has a carb, It doesnt matter which one just find one. They came with a rather large bracket plate that attached to the carb or the intake at the manifold flange and they even had one that utilized the valve cover bolts too. Honda aready has made them, you just need to retrofit them.
Also, go and find your self an 86 Prelude with dual carbs and take the throttle braket off of it, it is set in the precise location you are lookin at with these carbs.

Find a honda motorcycle dealer, and you can pick up foam filters there. They should also com with small wire springs that lash around the base of the filter to the neck of the carbs.
