Hi all,

No one in the world seems to know - are the cams in a carb ZC (JDM DOHC brown-top) different to the cams in a injected ZC (JDM DOHC brown-top)?

Also if I do need to swap the cams - does anyone know if using JDM black-top ones offers any gain over the JDM brown-top cams?

Can't help you with your question. I do happen to have a set of cams from an EDM FI browntop sitting in a box for my USDM browntop. If you need pics or some sort of measurement I may be able to help.

On another note I snooped your link and wonder if you could give me more info on the Bilstein struts? I don't know if they are still available but a part number or any such thing would be helpful. JS

If you want one of these Logos send me a PM

On the US SOHC 1.5 cars they have different heads. They carbed cars have a mechanical fuel pump driven off the cam, the 1.5i Si cars have an electric fuel pump for FI so I would theorize the DOHC ZCs may be similar. Don't know if that helps but may lead you in the correct direction.

From what I recall a TRUE carbed zc and a TRUE brown top zc share the same cams. The Black top ZC cams dont make anymore power but they are a smoother, more rev happy set of cams compared to the brown top cams. Which were orig. designed for the carbed ZC.

Hope that helps.
