Viscous.. Are you going to make copies of the header?
If not, would you please send me detailed, close up, full pictures of it..? I'll even repay you for a CD copy of it.
Actually, if you may have an engine out so to see if it just MIGHT clear the air cond compressor.
(yeah, I know it's a long shot but ya never know..)

If I remember correctly my old header doesn't fit a full width radiator. I know the fan will not fit.
