The reason im not to fond of nitrous is because its not permanet horsepower. Like you said you have to always have it filled up "just in case". If you get caught with an empty bottle your screwed and are gonna lose. Nitrous is great for the drag strip when you need a little more hp, but for any other type of racing its useless.

It's good for one other type. Brain Racing! The adrenalin rush makes it worth while.A 55 shot in the EW makes first, sec and third gear go by pretty quick-mainly tire smoke but sure makes you grab gears fast.A 100 shot should be more fun.(will find out this Sat. on the dyno if she'll live.)
If your bottle is empty, then you race NA and hope you haven't lost your driving skills! (Losing with an empty bottle is like losing with a slipping clutch-SH_ _ happens!)Beats not having nitrous and never being able to go after bigger fish.
Best option-Nitrous AND turbo!!
