Okay heres the deal, I own an 85 Honda CRX DX with a clean body. I want to swap to a D16A6. I have the mounts, motor, injectors, ecu, wiring out of an 88 SI, turbo, piping, intercooler, transmission, and shift linkage. I was told the wiring out of the 88 SI would work so I'm pulling that out of a friends parts car in a few days. My question is, aside from upgrading the fuel hoses under the hood and off the tank for fuel injection would I have to redo the ignition system as well? Also I don't wan to drop a mechanical pump in the tank so I'm opting for an electronic one under the hood, if it would work? Any feedback is appreciated, because I know this is just a headace to most people.

Yeah i received the ECU, and the wiring so I should be good there. By inline fuel pump, that would be placed under the hood correct? I just don't want to do the work and put one actually in the tank. So really the only thing i have to do is the fuel hoses, and this pump.

By inline fuel pump you could mount it under the car or under the hood.

why dont you just go find a 1g Si fuel tank and pump?

Ok good idea, I don't know what I was thinking, I do have that 88 SI parts car. Ok, I got everything disconnected, I removed the battery try so I can just lift straight up without tilting, 2 of the 3 mounts are loose and exhaust is disconnected. I moved on to the axels, my rotors and pads are obviously a little rusty, and I cant figure out a way to stop the axel from spinning while I'm cranking on the nut in the middle of the rotor to free it up, any ideas or methods?

The 88si fuel pump and tank wont fit it has to be a 1g tank. look in the Service Manual it tell you how to get the nut off. the book really dose help i used it a lot when i did my motor swap.

Under steer is when you hit the wall with your front end.
Over steer is when you hit the wall with your rear end.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you move the wall.

Ok so I've done some body modifications and everything, I wonder if I could modify the car in any way to make the tank fit... I really don't wanna get an inline electric fuel pump, I heard they're noisy. It wouldn't be as bad if I had a decent garage, but all i got is this one stall with no lift. Has anyone ever done this?

you can modify the tank fuel lines for fuel injection like i did to my 84 hatch and swapped out the return line to 3/8 line and reversed them using the supply line from stock as the return line for the fuel injection conversion.

So find a tank out of an 87 SI. Thats going to be pretty hard around here, honestly, I'm probably better off getting an electronic fuel pump or modifying the car for the 88 tank. Don't think I'm going to finish it for a while anyway, I leave in 9 days for basic. I only hope my account doesn't delete or freeze. Onto the next question on the swap, weight reduction. I'm taking out power steering, air conditioning, and the side fenders are already fiberglass. Do you think going any further than this, lets say removing interior panels, carbon fiber hood/hatch etc. is worth it actually?

Yeah disregard that last question, this probably isn't the category to post under. Last question for a while, I'm taking the wiring out of the 88 SI today, where is the ECU located? I don't have a manual to any of these cars.
