The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Got back to following this thread - good work, and good luck.
I'd suggest replacing the timing belt during the down time as well. They don't like consistent high revs, and the limit is more like 6,000 rather than 60,000 miles between changes. I've broken one towards the end of a second season, and it broke when I was just slowing from 60mph at the end of a freeway - no undue stress at the time. The timing belt has become a normal consumable for me - like fuel, oil, tires, pads and rotors.
Yeah, timing belt is on that list to inspect, I replaced it at 98k in `06 while swapping this engine in the first time into my 86 Si chassis, now at 115k. For this engine they have a 100k or 105k before first recommended replacement of the belt.

Also, was a nice overcast evening and these trees are in full bloom so I stopped really fast and snapped a cell phone pic:

Car was retired from racing end of the 2014 season due to compression being out of spec (all are above minimum spec, but the high and low ones are beyond the difference allowance). May come out of retirement some day, but as of yet not had time to work on the B20. Got an RS for Auto-x in 2016.
May be getting a D16Y8 swapped in for a while to test the setup I plan to use in 86 Civic Si when I get a new body, my current Si body is going to get scrapped, rust has consumed it. But, the D16 setup will be fun, start OBD2, but will be going OBD1 for one of those engines, I have 3 D16Y8s at my place now and one will be getting built for boost. I've falling in love with the boost my RS came with. Plus while the D16 is in I can look into the B20 more.

It was great to finally see this car in person at a CHD event! I like the sound of you possibly swapping to a Y8. That is such an underrated motor. I just hate the D series transmissions. They don't like repeated abuse. Would be a great setup in a 3G though! They're a bit lighter than the B series.
