Erm, from what I see they sell turbo kits for the 2G CRX, not 1G... They are not exactly interchangeable.

Just build your own.....almost the same price, and usually more power since you can pick all quality parts....

Indeed, build your own. A CT-26 turbo will practically bolt onto a DX manifold (minor reaming of the bolt holes)... just make sure you get the single port model like on the supra and not the twin entry like on the MR2. Get yourself an intercooler, some piping, fuel management for the SI and new exhaust... run all the oil and cooling lines and you are good to go. Sounds simple doesn't it? >_>

If you do, I recommend just a OIL COOLED unit. The less hassle the better <<I know from experience.
there are no available kits though as far as our motors go.
there used to be though..

My first home built kit was sooo simple I just did it to try it
Then I upgraded as time went by.
HERE IS THE SIMPLE BASE VERSION
junkyard tco4 turbo ($25)
HF HALF RADIATOR!!! this is a must! junkyard ($25)
DSM sidemount (freebie from my spare dsm parts) made to front mount
dsm blowoff valve
adapterplate (HOMEMADE)
dx manifold ($25)
custom exhaust/downpipe homebuilt
integra ecu (freebie)
integra injectors (freebie)
ALL PIPING/MISC fittings FROM HOME DEPOT ($20)
steel braided feed and return lines ($50)
msd 255lph inline pump ($80)
3 PETRA ONE WAY VALVES TO "TRICK" map sensor
Boost was just regulated off wastegate, this setup ran sooo smooth with no sputters or spits, was quiet as can be, never leaned out and was FAST AS HELL. I BLEW THE MOTOR DUE TO THE WATER LINE TO THE TURBO LEAKING AND OVERHEATED (i never saw the water as it evaporated from the turbo heat. If I never had put it like I debated with my brother it would probably still be alive.
MY FAULT ALSO for ignoring my temp gauge....

I have a CT-26 Turbo that i got out of a toyota supra at pick&pull. It was a half price day, so i got it for $60.00. I read online that these turbos can hold up to 20psi ! And can generate up to 400whp.Anyone have any experience with them?Sry for butting in.

anyone ever do a write up on a turbo swap on a 1g? also can the pistons handle it? i know on the probe the non turbo 2.2L got cast alum pistons while the 2.2LT they used hyperneutetic (however its spelt) pistons.
If i decide to go turbo can i do it on a carb motor or does it have to be FI?

should go to homemadeturbo.com i learned a lot there and was ready to put a turbo on my car but i ran out of time so i just decided to just go N/A....and on running 20 psi i doubt that our motors will be able to hold up to that without any serious pistons, rods, tuning etc
dont gotta look good just work good

12 PSI MAX out of a d15a3 and thats pushing the envelope.. but 6PSI on a d15a3 is plenty much and will scoot that car extremely well..
just check out cheaptrixracing you will see what a boosted d15a3 can do.
