I picked up my first Honda several months ago, I bought it with a blown motor (timing belt went out on the highway with 52K original miles). I started by pulling the head and having it redone. I had her up and running in no time!

After looking over the forums for awhile i have decided instead of doing a motor swap, I'd rather keep it stockish and go with a devac and Weber install. I just picked up an intake and Weber off a fellow RPR member. Its due to be here tomorrow so I decided id jump in and get started today! Also when I fixed the head I ended up with a trickle of antifreeze leaking from the front side of the block so I figured id redo the head gasket and replace all the head bolts.

So lets get started pulling the head, intake, carb, and anything vacuum related!

Before I tear in too much.

That's all I got done today. The gasket set should be in tomorrow, along with the intake and Weber carb. Hoping to have some down time tomorrow to get things put back together.

Got the carb this morning. I need to make a couple block off plates then ill start getting it all back together. I have a couple questions though, where do i tie in the electric choke wire? Also in the close up pic there is what i believe is a vacuum line above the adjustment screw? Where does it connect? I also still have the 2 vacuum lines on the distributor, do I just cap them off? Thanks for any advice!

Well today did not go as planned...

Got the block off plates made and the intake back on the head.

Dropped the head in and started bolting everything up.

I had antifreeze leaking from here, so I went to the hardware store and got a 3/8" gas pipe plug and unscrewed that piece from the intake and put the plug in its place.

Everything is hooked up(except the questionable items that i mentioned in the last post). I also still need to figure out where i can tie the choke in. I am now trying to get it to run right... I have noticed i got antifreeze leaking pretty good somewhere so I need to track that down first and foremost. I ended up catching the exhaust on fire earlier... It's coming along but not quite as smooth as i had expected. Hopefully get some time later tonight or tomorrow evening to work on it and get things figured out.
