Hey folks! I know it has been a long while, after I sold my 87 CRX I kinda drifted away buuuut now I am back. Casual talk yesterday at work revealed that one of my co-workers is selling a 85 CRX with a bad bottom end in it. I figured I would post some pics and see if you guys think it is worth it. Its an 85 which is my favorite year. So here they are. Also you know that a b16 will be transplanted into this. This car is 100% rust free which is another plus.

Thanks,

James

If that car is really 100%rust free.... it's 100% worth it I think. It looks clean and I'm absolutely astonished at the complete lack of bumper sag!

Also, what's up with that front lip? It's kinda blocked by the overgrowth, but it doesn't look stock...

Is the wing that is on it rare? I cannot say that I have ever seen one.

It has a lip on it below the front bumper, not an expert on lips but my last one didnt have it.

The wing is stock DX. DXs and SIs also came with front lips. (this one looks a little odd though, but it might just be the overgrowth.)

I say GO FOR IT. I find it amazing how these are always turning up in places over grown and clean as can be. Kind of like time forgot them.

jack it up in the front and look at where the front suspension connects.

or pull up the carpeting to look at the outer front top side of the wheelwell areas.

but i think you could part it out and break even but i would offer less.

looks to be a clean body on the outside. how long has it been in the weeds like that? any car i've seen sit on grass or in the woods gets pretty rusty underneath.

i would try and get em down to like 300.00. if it was in running condition then i would say its worth 500.00. just my opinion...

500$ is steep for a non runner. 250-300 is more suitable, just how bad do you want it. When I got my 87 I paid 300 for a running Si wth an 86 hf parts car, and last weekend I paid $250 for a 1980 and 1981 Civic 1500 1 auto and 1 5 speed.

Location, location, location. Here in Vancouver BC you'd be lucky to get anything without rust on it for 500 (even if it is USD)

See if he'll take less. Have a VERY good look for rust. And then decide by the local market value of a 1G CRX.
