i just replaced the ew in my crx and the exhaust manifold seems to be getting excessively hot when i run it for even just a few minutes
anyone know why?

Have you checked your cooling system? Take the rad cap off, start the car, and make sure that you can see coolant flowing.

exhaust manifolds get hot. like really hot. watch a turbo video with the exhaust mani those glow red.

i would have to guess that your catalytic converter is clogged. how is performance? any power loss?

But if you that worried......your exaust temps run cooler if you set the timing - (retard)...

this is the first place i would look, install a small pressure gauge i place of the o2 sensor, exhaust back-pressure should not exceed 2psi
