Hola.

 

New Member with two 85 CRXs.  They are multiplying.

 

I need help with tranny ID.. Whats in an 85 CRX 5Sped and what swaps in?  I played with GM 4 speeds for years and built bullet proof muncies and T10s. Several still raced locally. 20s, 21s and 22s

 

Number two is crunchy in my 85 CRX autocross car so I want to locate a core, take it apart and build it.  And one I do and its right and pretty, I can maybe help other members.

 

Muncies are easy but I dont know Hondas.  If there is a great thread perhaps someone can point me to it.  I havent quite found it yet.

 

Also where is the best place to source parts?

Is there something that you are aware of that identifies the tranny's?  I have been looking but havent found anything yet. Thx!

They are all GW code on a sticker on the top front of transmission.
