You are welcome to come by. Anyone from the list who is in the area is more than welcome. But I must warn you, by space is more modest than you might think.
Just PM me and I will give you my contact info.
Ghetto is cool. I have seen some super fast "Sleepers" that appear to be rough around the edges. There is a 64 Chevy Nova that tools around town here that looks like a barn find. Patina finish and all. The only difference is, it sports a 750 horse small block under the hood. To see it sitting in the parking lot, you wouldn't give it a second look. But when it starts up, what gives it away is the 1,800 rpm idle.
Take care,
David

Update 5/19/08: Modifying the P06 Part 1
Just a short update, today I spent a little time modifying the P06 I bought for data logging. I'm going to try an use one of those little USB to TTL Serial gizmo's I got. I still haven't "chipped" the ECU yet in the pictures. I plan on showing that later. Some pictures....
The ECU I got is for an automatic, I think, so I will need to convert it as well to manual. The super universal P06:
I was surprised to see it came with OBD1 plugs. A bit short on wire length, but hey, I'm thankful!:
I think I'll put the gizmo here:
Here is the USB to serial device mounted in the case:
And the USB port on the end:
I need to make a cable to connect it to the serial port on the ECU board and chip the board as well. Next time.
Take care,
David
