Hi guys,
I've wanted a 1G CRX for a long time, but it's pretty hard since they were never sold in Australia. (Actually this is probably one of the reasons I want one, I love driving something no-one else has really seen or something rare or classic.)
While they weren't sold here, there were a few imported at some point, including a 1987 F-1 Special Edition that is now mine!
It's not in fantastic condition, and has done quite a few kilometres, but still drives well and with a little bit of work should look great. And while I've seen the occasional first gen around, I've never seen this particular model. In fact, I haven't come across anyone else who owns one anywhere on the internet. (If anyone knows of someone else, please point me in their direction!)
So without further ado, the pics. You'll have to excuse the quality, I've only just picked it up, and the only digicam I've had access to so far is the one in my mobile phone.

Missing front left mudflap (hint hint if anyone has one...):
Wind deflector:
Sunroof panel (with rust - I'm not sure how much hope there is of getting a replacement, yet to see if it's fixable):
Near new tyres:
Slotted discs on the front:
Drums on the rear (which I'd like to change to discs, JUST FOR AESTHETICS ):
Front left fender is cracked (re-inforced with fibreglass behind) - need to source a new one:
This piece of the fender was broken right off:

i have only ever seen one ever F1 edition CRX and it was as me and a few mates were following it up the street and managed to See F1 edition written on the rear mudflaps. they are a damn nice car the F1s the one we were following was an Ballade sports as well so im to assume they were all ballade sports the F1 models.
i dont know if it had electric mirrors or not but i do know JDM Si CRX dont come with them so im assuming thats either an option or it came on the ballade sports or F1 editions only.
anyways nice car treat it well and keep it in one piece.
EDIT: now taking a closer look at the pictures the car seems to have OEM optional foglights, im not sure but possibly OEM optional rainguards there is some rare goodies on that car.

Very Nice! Yet another version of the 1st Gen that never got sent to the US
Keep your eyes on eBay US for a sunroof panel. If you do not ahve a Paypal acount now, get one.
The wing can be sourced from eBay US or from an internet search. The Fi mudflap will be a challenge to find. Maybe Yahoo Japan?
Take good care of that rare model.

I've got an aquaintance in Australia that is also a photographer. I'll see where he's at and see how far he is from you. Your car would be a great candidate for some good pics! And I'm jealous. I want to fly to Australia and hug you for rexcuing such a nice car!

You, sir, are in possession of my dream car. Kindly return it to me so that we can avoid legal action. Your immediate cooperation is appreciated.

i agree with the other comments....keep it together! im sure you are going to have many offers from ppl (here and elsewhere) to part it out and sell them the more rare parts off of it!
even if you are hard up for money, it is worth more as a whole than to sell to us scavengers
