Im having trouble finding an exhaust system for a 1st generation crx...any advice? will the second gen headers fit on an 87 crx?

No, second gen header will not fit. They still produce ones for the first gen (chikara/pacesetter), exhaust pretty much has to be fabbed or a muffler shop can do one as well, although you may be able to find pacesetter "catback" units that are bolt on.
