Hi all,

Im having issues finishing off my de-vac on my 3rd Gen Si Civic.

Everytime I try to pull anymore than about 30% throttle, the engines rev's drop and often backfires through the intake.

I will get some photos of what vac lines I have where and hopefully someone can help me out! Car has been off the road far too long.

I have followed this wiki: http://www.redpepper...?title=Si_Devac

Im sure I have the 'Number 2 hose' and the Fuel pressure Reg hose correct but am unsure about the MAP hose.

And gone from this image...

Thanks in advance,

Here is some pics from my car...
This is Hose '2'

Fuel Reg

Behind throttle body...

Is this hose (In centre of picture) the MAP sensor hose? Where does the other end need to go?

Cheers!

For shits and giggles, change the hose to the other port on the vac advance. Sounds like a timing problem to me.

The Dizzy and FPR hoses should be right,

But where does the other end of the map sensor go? assuming you removed the map sensor from the black box and mounted it on the firewall somewhere connected to a vacume source on the engine side of the throttle body.

Here is pics of mine its been OBD1 converted but the map sensor line shows how it should be setup.

Thread from the dead,

I never got any email notifications so never thought this thread was replied to!

Thanks very much for the help.

Firstly, the MAP sensor was indeed missing a vacuum hose. That has fixed my main problem.

Now the car is generally lacking power when you first apply the accelerator, does a bit of a miss then comes right. And wont idle after revving. It idles fine on start up.

Any more suggestions?

Thanks heaps! Been missing driving this car!
