In Topic: Boooost! The Build Begins
19 September 2010 - 05:37 PM
Thanks man! Yea I think the turbo is perfect for my build, I'm just looking for something that is going to spool quickly and be fun driving around town. Hopefully I get over 200WHP but I'm really looking to get over 200BHP. I wanting it to be done by summer of 2011 so it'll be track ready by next season. Now, come track season 2012, I'll be building the motor and upgrading the turbo setup, I haven't even begun to think of what my goals are going to be on that build, but it'll be a high compr. boost build for sure, looking at joining the 10 sec club lol. but we'll see come that time.

If you are going to use an hf manifold I've got the adapter plate for you. Will sell much cheaper than other online sources. Have downpipe flange for 14b/16g turbo too. PM me if interested.

In Topic: Dohc Zc Or Jdm D15b Vtec?

UPDATE: I'm keeping the jdm dohc zc and boosting it! Already got a turbo for it, now ALL the other parts left wish I were closer lol
Oh yea no doubt its a great motor, and I'm loving the TQ/HP numbers I'm finding on other peoples builds. I just wasn't sure at first if I really wanted to stick with it or go with the newer motor with more available parts and it is OBD1 where as the ZC is OBD0... but I'm sticking with the ZC... and if all else fails.... it's MAD TYTE JDM D15B VTEC TIME YO!!!! lol

If you already have the ZC in the car, why not just turbo that one? its a good motor.

The offset is waaay off, they will rub the fenders. But seriously, not diggin red, but I'd like the black with chrome ring (had those on a couple cars) or just stripped and polished with a clear coat. Maybe a red thin stripe on the lip if polished. Just my two cents.
Yea, in that I just set it next to the wheel that was already on the car lol... I'm not rolling with bumped out wheels I HATE that look, just my opinion anyway...
But now I have some motegi's I gotta get tires for and mount, I'm probably still going to paint the wheels somehow, and I like that thin red stripe idea you had.... I may try that..

Well guys, I think I'm staying with the Motegi's. Simply because of what this guy reminded me off...
Yea, the Motegi's are 2" wider than the LS Mesh's, and I'm no straight line driver so the Motegi's are where its at for now. Thanks Zakats, and all you guys for help/opinions!

what is the width? if they're wider than the LS mesh (6") then I'd keep them and they are probably more valuable than LS mesh fwiw
