The forum is up... the forum is down. I don't know what's going on anymore? To the question:
I know the forum FAQs has a list of some online dealers to buy from (Idon't have a credit card), but if I where to look for places around St. Louis to get a 88-89 D16A1? What would I be looking for?
I was thinking maybe the local junk yards but I wasn't sure if that would be a good idea or not? What would I be looking for in a engine seller. How the heck would I find one?
I know these may be a really dumb questions, but I've honestly never shopped for a car engine before. I really appreciate any help you could give.

Where To Buy Engines?

Need Some Advice!? Pleeeeeease?
22 July 2003 - 02:23 AM
Which engines are better in our first gens ? I'm trying to decide on which engine to go for: the 88-89 D16A1 integra engine with approx. 118hp na (not sure about turbo) or the B series VTEC engines (b16A) from the 90-current Civic Si or the 94-97 Del Sol with approx. 160hp stock.
It'll be a daily driver taken to the track for road racing and autoXing mainly, but I'd like to go draging for some extra fun. Is there any other good choices for what I'm wanting to do?
Any advice and/or educated opinions are welcome. Thanks you guys.

Simple Suspension/brake Swap Qs
17 July 2003 - 01:32 AM
Hey everybody (got some really basic questions). I've been told the best first mod for my 86 HF is the front and rear disc brake replacement and new suspension. This is because I'm eventually wanting to put a D16A1 in it. So here are my questions?
What does this represent and are they the correct numbers for my stock tires and rims (Tires/rims: 165/70R13)?
Is it best to just get some 86-89 integra front and rear disc brakes and swap them or is there a better/easier/cheaper way to go?
When they tell me to upgrade my suspion what all does that intail? axles, springs... umm I really don't know all the parts of the suspension? and what car should I swap parts from for it or what aftermarket parts are best?
I'm sorry if these are some really basic questions, but haven't been able to find a good source of info to explain it in simple terms. Please give me any info or advice you have, or if there is a link with this info please let me know. Thanks guys, I'm happy to be a new addition to the forum
