Just saw this thread.

A few off the top of my head - things I've broken and/or had trouble finding or just can't find:

hubs

body parts (fenders, header panel, lower door panels, bumper covers)

performance intake

header

big front ARB (biggest I've found was 5/8")

faster steering rack

engine/transmission mounts (specifically the rear)

I second the hub issue.  I know casting isn't something a small operation can do and machining a solid piece would be super expensive, so is there another option?  A retro-fit kit that might need some sort of adapter/s that someone could machine?

I get 2 hubs at pick and pull, magnaflux them and install 2 new bearing every 2 years, or at least before running a risky event, so far so good, Dave

I ordered a CRX Carbon Gauge Cluster Dash Bezel Trim from ebay from Ferreus Industries off ebay hoping that I could swap out the original speedo and the RPM face for one from an EF. The one from Ferreus Industries is basically to trim out the original gauges, not EF placed gauges. If one could 3D print Dash Bezel Trim to hide the extra writing on the bottom of the EF gauges, writing that is normally covered by the EF bezel, you would have a very cheap easy way to do a VSS swap. Maybe the Ferreus bezel would work better with some different gauges than the EF? Anyway then you could turn nearly any white faced 1984-1987 cluster into a VSS cluster with readily available parts. The EF face plates can be trimmed with a scissors. The only thing I can think of is that you might have to drill some new holes on the EF RPM face plate because the holes don't line up with the original and I don't think the EF RPM would bolt into the 1984-1987 cluster housing. The other thing would be this wouldn't work for the orange faced clusters. I would definitely like one made for both the civic and the crx.

On the steering rack I wonder if the Quafe EF steering rack would fit into our housing? I've seen a thread where it fits into an EG housing.

Chedda does make the side mount for the transmission. The engine mount you could just fill with poly. And to prevent the back mount from breaking all you need to do is add a mount to the front of the motor like the EF has. It could be like a torque strap. Weld something to tie into one of the tranny bolts.

I just moved back to the Atlanta area, and saw your old car that Tim has at the last AutoXAtlanta event.  I was so excited to see it in person.  I sold my last CRX to move back.  I came to your pit during the ChumpCar race in Feb, because somebody else on another forum I frequent most out of all of them is on the team.

CRXer87HF and I keep crossing paths, but haven't actually been able to meet up.  I am excited for an Atlanta area RPR meet, even though I drive a Mini Cooper S, an old BMW, and sometimes a Miata if I'm at the right track.

Under steer is when you hit the wall with your front end.
Over steer is when you hit the wall with your rear end.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you move the wall.
