In Topic: Plastic Repair?

i have been using a Weller 140 watt sodedring iron with the flat "knife edge" tip and if you need extra material steal one of the kids lego pieces they melt in and mix with the existing plastic. Just make sure you used a resperator and have some ventalation going the smoke will make you sick!!! My front fender was in 3 pieces after the snow plow decided to get too close last winter. weld both sides and reinforce the inside with some long strand fiberglass fill to prevent it from cracking again. I have also rebuilt motor cycle fairings the same way it is not as good as a plastic welder but way cheaper.

In Topic: D16a1 Fuel System Question

The fuel pump ideallly should be somewhere below the fuel tank they rely on the fuel for cooling and if mounted too high ie. the firewall they can starve of fuel if you run out of gas they have a hard time priming themselves as they have to pull fuel all the way from the tank. You risk damaging the pump if they run dry for too long.

I am running something very similar 2.25 of a ported manifold with a "cherry bomb" glass pack and i run a cheap fart can from canadian tire 2.25 in and out with no baffles just a straight through deal.. It is disgustingly loud i havent been cut of in the left lane by a truck since!! It performs really well and is easy to do with a few "U" bends.
